His current work examines the influence of venture capitalists on entrepreneurial performance.

He graduated with a PhD in Public Policy and Management, with a focus in strategy and entrepreneurship from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008. Prior to his PhD, he worked with a startup in the Silicon Valley and in New York City with one of the world’s largest financial services firm. Milind Sohoni’s research interests span large-scale stochastic airline optimization, supply chain analytics, healthcare delivery and nonprofit operations management in resource constrained settings. He has several years of corporate experience in consulting and research. For the last 15 years, he has built world class products across hardware and software and has led multiple large scale digital transformation initiatives in the Supply Chain space. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, and currently leads Product Management in India for Cloud Security at Google.

Sumeet Kumar is an Assistant Professor at the Indian School of Business (ISB). He studies problems at the intersection of technology and society. He is interested in analyzing user behavior, quantifying online forums' polarization, and finding advertisements disguised as regular content on online platforms. His current focus is on finding implicit/hidden advertisements in videos posted on kids' platforms like YouTube kids. Additionally, he has also conducted research on software design and development, in particular user experience. He has investigated the use of phone sensors in emergencies to improve situational awareness. His study on the wireless-emergency-alerting (WEA) service in the United States addressed several issues of central importance to emergency alerts effectiveness and adoption. Some of his research recommendations were included in the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) proposed changes to WEA. Sumeet completed his undergraduate education at IIT Kanpur. He has Masters degrees in Software Engineering and Machine Learning, both from Carnegie Mellon. He also earned his doctorate from Carnegie Mellon University.

The programme has been designed with your busy schedule in mind. You will be required to commit not more than four to six hours per week enabling you to benefit from this transformative programme while fulfilling your day-to-day work responsibilities.

What is the mode of the programme?

The programme has recorded lectures, assignments, quizzes and 2 capstone projects for a hands-on experience, and live office hours with our programme coordinators and industry experts every week for doubt resolution and discussions.

Are there live sessions in the programme?

There are 4 live webinars with the ISB Faculty, 1 after each pillar of the programme. We also have live webinars with programme coordinators and industry experts also called Emeritus office hours, every week for doubt solving and any discussion regarding the curriculum.

What if I miss the assignments for a particular week? Can I attempt them later?

An assignment that is not submitted by the due date is late. Late assignments will be accepted until one week after the programme end date, which is published on the programme homepage. It is strongly recommended that you attempt and submit the assignments every week for a holistic learning experience. Late submissions will be graded at the end of the course.

What is it like to learn with the learning collaborator, Emeritus?

All programmes are designed to fit into your working life.

You must complete the required activities to pass and obtain the certificate of completion. Some programmes include a final project submission or other assignments to obtain passing status. This information will be noted in the programme brochure. Please contact us at if you need further clarification on any specific programme requirements.

What type of certificate will I receive?

Upon successful completion of the programme, you will receive a smart digital certificate. The smart digital certificate can be shared with friends, family, schools, or potential employers. You can use it on your cover letter, resume, and/or display it on your LinkedIn profile. The digital certificate will be sent approximately two weeks after the programme, once grading is complete.

Does the programme grant alumni status?

You will gain the ISB Executive Alumni Status and get access to all the benefits that it offers. You can read about the benefits on our landing page.

How long will I have access to the learning materials?

You will have access to the online learning platform and all the videos and programme materials for 12 months following the programme start date. Access to the learning platform is restricted to registered participants per the terms of agreement.

What equipment or technical requirements are there for this programme?

Participants will need the latest version of their preferred browser to access the learning platform. In addition, Microsoft Office and a PDF viewer are required to access documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDF files, and transcripts.

Do I need to be online to access the programme content?

Yes, the learning platform is accessed via the internet, and video content is not available for download. However, you can download files of video transcripts, assignment templates, readings, etc. For maximum flexibility, you can access programme content from a desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device.

Video lectures must be streamed via the internet, and any livestream webinars and office hours will require an internet connection. However, these sessions are always recorded, so you may view them later.

Can I still register if the registration deadline has passed?

Yes, you can register up until seven days past the published start date of the programme without missing any of the core programme material or learnings.

Is there an option to make flexible payments for this programme?

Yes, the flexible payment option allows a participant to pay the programme fee in instalments. This option is made available on the payment page and should be selected before submitting the payment.
